Taste the Russian culture, traditions and way of life by visiting 3 completely different cities: Europes largest megalopolis Moscow, provincial Novgorod with medieval Russia spirit, and gorgeous St. Petersburg with glittering baroque palaces and romantic canals.
This classic tour will leave you with unforgettable memories of Russia's most important and exciting cities. You’ll get to know Moscow, an exciting and vibrant city rich in history and St. Petersburg - Russia's most romantic and culturally important city.
Explore St. Petersburg, the former capital of Imperial Russia with its magnificent palaces, parks, and monuments. Our engaging and most importantly fun tour includes all the most important highlights, such as Peter and Paul Fortress, the Hermitage Museum, and the Catherine Palace with the Amber Room.
Russia's capital has so much to offer, from the Kremlin and the Metro to the Old Arbat street and the Tretyakov Gallery. Besides these sites, you will also visit a fascinating country estate which today is quite off the beaten path, Gorky Estate, where the Soviet leader Lenin spent the last months of his life.
This tour is a perfect combination of the 'Two Capitals' of Russia - Moscow and St. Petersburg, and the charming ancient towns of Suzdal and Vladimir located in the Golden Ring area of Russia. The tour is highly recommended to those interested in Russian history.
This tour is perfect for those who are interested in Russian culture and its history. These Russian guided tours are available only in English, but we have groups in other languages. Please, contact us to learn more.
A trip to St Petersburg or Moscow at any time of year will be enjoyable. Museums and galleries are much less busy during winter, accommodation is significantly cheaper, and you can enjoy outside activities such as skiing or sleigh rides. Exploring the cities is more enjoyable in the warmer months, and St Petersburg especially beckons during the White Nights. Whenever you decide to travel, check out which national holidays are on – Pancake Week, Victory Day, and City Day are just some of the festivities you can experience. For more information about the best time of year to travel, read our guide.
Maximum number of travelers in a group is 30, but usually there are less people. If you prefer to be in a smaller group, please look at the tours during late autumn, winter and early spring – October- March, there are much less travelers in our group tours as well as tourists in general.
The group tours are designed to provide maximum comfort for all the travelers. For example, all the participants will be picked up at the hotel lobby in the morning to start the tour. It would be less convenient if the travelers were accommodated in different hotels. For this reason, we offer the same hotels for all the participants of the group – well reviewed 4* hotels in Moscow and St Petersburg that meet international standards of quality.
You absolutely can arrive a couple of days earlier, in this case we will book extra night(s) at the same hotel you will be staying at during the tour. We do not recommend arriving later, since you will miss the first parts of the program – the sightseeing tour and the most important highlights of the city. Remember, on Day 1 we only arrange arrival transfers for the travelers – there is no sightseeing on this day. The sightseeing program starts with a pick up at the hotel lobby on the next day at around 10AM. So if you arrive early in the morning on Day 2 you may be able to join the tour right away, but you may be quite tired. Accordingly, you can depart later than the last day of the tour, but we do not recommend departing earlier.
