Useful information (FAQ)

Passengers arriving on an ocean or sea cruise do not need a Russian visa if:
  • they stay in the city less than 72 hours;
  • they book a land tour with an Authorized Tour Company and are escorted by a guide and driver during the tour;
  • they spend their nights on board the cruise ship

We are easily able to organize private tour or group tours for parties up to 15 people. Please let us know the type of tour you require when you submit your request and our managers will customize and organize the tour according to your preferences.

Your guide and driver will meet you by your ship holding a signboard with your name (or the name of one of the parties in your group if on a group tour).

To book your tour we require a prepayment equivalent to 10% of your tour cost. Full payment is required not later than 14 days before your arrival in St. Petersburg. As soon as you are ready to confirm your booking we will need the following information from you via email for each member of your group:

  • Full name as per passport
  • Passport number
  • Date of Birth
  • Citizenship
  • Dates of the tour with us
  • Name of the ship

After receiving this information, we will issue tour tickets for each member of your group (one ticket for each day) and forward them to you via email. As of that moment we consider your tour officially booked with us. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Eurocard. Payment by bank transfer is also possible.

You can cancel your tour reservation two weeks before your tour begins without any cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 14 days before the start date of your tour or in case of a no-show on the day of your tour, we will apply a penalty equivalent to 50% of the total cost of the excursion program.

Concert and theatre tickets: There are no refunds for evening tours (theatre, tickets, folk show or boat rides).

The official currency in Russia is the Russian rouble. You may exchange money at banks or ATM machines which are conveniently located in most locations in the city. If you need an advice while you are on your tour, our guides will be glad to help you.

Most shops and restaurants accept the major credit cards such as MasterCard and Visa.

Tips to guides and drivers are appreciated – they are not included in the tour cost. The recommended amount is from 5% to 10%, to be given separately to the guide and the driver.

As soon as your ship is cleared (it takes about 30 minutes) you are allowed to disembark. You should have your tour ticket, immigration card, passport and a photocopy of your passport page with your personal information and photo.

Our guide will be waiting for you next to the ship at the requested time. Please remember! You are allowed to disembark in St. Petersburg without a Russian visa only f you have all the documents mentioned above.
