Zaryadie Park to be constructed in heart of Moscow

Moscow mayor in April of 2013 has announced the launch of the contest for the reconstruction of Moscows biggest and most expensive vacant area in the city center. Zaryadie - it is a quarters located just a minute away from the Kremlin, it covers 13 hectars and considered to be the most perspective area for the development.
 
The foundation of Zaryadie Park should become a great contribution of Moscow government to the appearance of Russia's Capital. This Park will be the first park created in Moscow since 1958th. It is planned to be an absolutely outstanding project of 21st century, the latest technologies, methods and materials will be used in its construction.
 
Today was announced the winner of the contest, the commitee has selected American company Diller Scofidio + Renfo to lead the reconstruction work. Their Project is based on the principles of landscape urbanism and will combine 4 most typical russian sceneries: tundra, steppe (prairie), forest and swampland. They will be situated in a form of terraces going down from the upper part of the park to the lower south-west part. The technologies of sustainable development will allow to create artificial environment with the help of temperature regulations, wind control and imitation of the day light. 
 
This project upholds high expectations of the government to become one of the main Moscow attractions and a popular meeting center for the moscovites in future.
