Impressionism and Spanish Art in Moscow

Starting from the 10th of October till the 26th of January in the Moscow's Museum of Russian Impressionism will be held an exhibition "Impressionism and Spanish Art". According to the press service of the Museum, this is the most expansive exposition in Russia of Spanish art of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Fourteen art museums in Spain have provided 59 paintings, sculpture, and graphic art pieces. The exhibits are supplemented with two paintings from the collection of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

The exhibition presents the paintings of the participants of the first exhibitions of impressionists in European art: Joaquin Sorolla, Ramon Casas, Darío de Regoyos, Marian Pidelaserra, Ignasi Mallol, Santiago Rusiñol, Ricard Canals, Ignacio Zuloaga, Joaquim Mir, and Pere Ysern, graphic artist Dario de Regoyos, Isidre Nonell.
