The Military Orchestras to perform in parks and stations of Moscow

The Moscow authorities are completing last preparation for the massive celebration of Moscow's 870th-anniversary, which will start off on 1st of September. This important event coincides with the annual festival of military music "Spasskaya Tower". For this reason, the Military Orchestras from all over the world will give free performances in the public areas of the capital.

The military music Festival "Spasskaya Tower", during its 10 years of existence, has deeply rooted into the cultural agenda of the city. It is hard to find equally massive event; people of almost any corner of the capital will be able to become partakers of it. The military orchestras will perform in 12 different parks. For example, in Kuzmini park, it will be possible to hear the Orchestra of the Air Forces of Turkey, in Tsaritsyno Park, will perform Orchestra from Uzbekistan, and in Fili Park the Orchestra from Egypt.

Drawing on the experience from the previous years, it was also decided to arrange performances at the railway stations of the city. It was found that railway stations have unique acoustic characteristics, and such form of performances should be continued.

The Military-music Festival "Spasskaya Tower" will be held from 26th of August till 3rd of September, while the main city's 870th-anniversary celebration is scheduled to take place from 1st till 10th of September.
