Forumla-1 Russian Grand Prix

The tentative dates for the Russian Grand Prix have been announced as October 17-19th, 2014 by Formula One organizers.

The contract with the Russian Grand Prix was originally signed in 2010 and states that the event will be held throughout 2020, with the first race taking place in October 2014.

Oleg Zabara, deputy general director of the Omega Center in Sochi, says that all the necessary facilities are progressing according to schedule.

The Formula One Russian Grand Prix will be held for the first time in history, after previous attemps to stage a similar event in Moscow failed.
