The Night of Museums in St. Petersburg Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

This year, the annual event The Night of Museums will be held in St. Petersburg for the 10th time. Over 110 museums, city's halls and libraries will be open for the visitors. The main theme of the night would be dedicated to the Year of Ecology, and museums will be sharing information on environmental protection and ecology.

The Night of Museums will be held from 20th to 21st of May, starting from 18 pm till 6 am. The exhibitions, concerts, excursions, and historical reconstructions are being prepared for the visitors.

16 new participants have joined this event in 2017th, among whom are: Museum-Estate of Derzhavin, Museum-Apartment of Nekrasov, and Museum of Kronstadt of Underwater Archeology. All museums have prepared new programs and Russian Museum will held the excursion across the Summer Garden.

62 Museums will be open from 6 pm till 11 pm, 47 museums will be anticipating visitors till 6 am, while several cultural organization will be holding short special activities. The comprehensive program with schedule can be accessed at the website: http://www.artnight.ru/

Starting from 11 pm, special busses will be operating between the museums, and metro will be open whole night as well.
