Trains between Ukraine and Russia
There are many ways to travel into Russia from Europe. You can arrive from Germany, Finland, and from Poland. You can also enter Russia through Latvia, Estonia, or Kiev. Please note: a transit visa is required for trains that stop or go through Belarus. The following are just a few options we can recommend for a quick and efficient trip into the Russian cities of Moscow or St. Petersburg. If you want to save time - you can choose a direct train. If you'd rather have a longer and more picturesque trip - there are also many options available for you to choose from.
If you are traveling from Ukraine there is no problem to get to Russia as well.

High-speed train Moscow-Kiev started regular traffic in August 2005. The average speed of the train is about 140 kilometers per hour, and covers the distance between the 2 capitals in only 9 hours. The service is run jointly by the Russian and Ukrainian railways for maximum passenger comfort.
Both 1st and 2nd class cabins are available. 1st class consists of a cabin with a sleeping berth for 2 people. 2nd class consists of a cabin with a sleeping berth for 4 people.
