Quiznos coming to Russia
Quiznos Subs is the newest American fast food chain on the block!
The American fast food chain Quiznos recently announced that it will be entering the Russian market in St. Petersburg and Moscow sometime later this year. The first store is planned to open in St. Petersburg before the end of this year.
Quiznos is an American fast food restaurant with including over 4,500 locations in the U.S. and 25 other countries featuring a menu of sub sandwiches made in special toasters.
Estimates show that the average purchase size in a Quiznos store will be 300-500 rubles ($10-12). This will make the sandwich maker a bit more expensive to rival Subway, where customers spend an average of 200 rubles ($8) per purchase in St. Petersburg.
Quiznos is confident that they will be sucessful in St. Petersburg due to the loyalty that customers show to Western fast food brands in the city. Lately St. Petersburg has seen an influx in Western fast food brands, with the recent opening of Burger King and the announcement that Starbucks will also enter the market. In addition, St. Petersburg already has brands such as McDonald's, Carl's Jr, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Baskin Robbin's.
