Maxim - My new favorite restaurant!

Recently in Repina, a suburb of St. Petersburg, opened a new restaurant called Maxim, offering a wide range of food, but most come for the shashlik and traditional eastern dishes, not to mention the beautiful nature and view of the Gulf of Finland.

After eating at the restaurant a few times recently I have fallen in love with the place, for several reasons. The first reason was the location. Maxim is located right on the Gulf of Finland in a bit of secluded place. It is right on one of the main roads, but without neighbors, so it is a bit quieter than other places, and nature of the forest and the view of the gulf makes it a special place.

The second reason, associated with the location, is the layout of the restaurant. There are several pavilions in the style of hunting lodges outside the restaurant on the banks of the gulf, making for an exceptional experience. The pavilions come in different sizes, for 6, 8, 12, 20 or 60 people. We chose the small pavilion with one table for 6 people, the privacy and atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for!

The next reason was discovered after opening the menu. I was shocked at the prices and the huge selection of dishes, more than 50 varieties of meat and fish cooked on the grill, game, cooked in tandoor, aromatic Shah pilaf, kebab, basturma, khinkali, and so on. The prices were the cheapest I think I've seen anywhere in the city, and especially in the suburbs along the gulf!

After seeing the prices, we were a bit skeptical about the quality and taste of the food. However, the food and the portions were absolutely delicious, we all chose different dishes and everything was perfect and very tasty. The portions were big also, I was quite surprised to find such a combination of cheap prices, big portions, delicious food, and great service!

My favorite dish that we had was the hachipori, it was the best I have ever had! 

All together, for four people, we all ordered shashlik of different varieties with two garners, one salad to share, one hachipori to share, one traditional pastry similar to a cheborek with meat to share, and alcoholic drinks. After dividing the price among the four people, since we all shared each others food, we each had to pay only 750 rubles ($25)! An amazing deal!
