The Moscow's metro celebrates the Year of the Volunteer in Russia

On 5th of December, an unusual train has appeared in the Moscow's metro. On the Day of the Volunteer's, on 5th of December, a new themed carriage started to operate along the Arabtsko-Pokrovskaya line. "The train of change. The history of volunteers" is dedicated to volunteer movement in Russia. It serves to reveal to the Muscovites the multifacetedness of the volunteers' work.

The carriage is decorated in a format of the stories from the Social Media. This idea is supposed to emerge the passengers into the atmosphere of friendly communication and add more sense to their personal stories. Beside that, in the carriage has been used illustrations, questions, different stickers, and hashtags.

The train tells the story of the volunteers from all over Russia, from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad. Anton Pashkov, the coordinator of the press-service of the project has commented: "We hope that this bright, full of kind stories train will become a wonderful gift to all, who are involved in the volunteer movement, and would also motivate other people to volunteer."

On an opening day, all people whose images are displayed in the carriage has shared the stories of the projects they have been involved. There you can find projects from medical, social, "silver", patriotic, ecological, school, and other volunteer movements.

The train will operate on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya (Blue) line for 180 days. The stations will be announced by the embassadors of the Volunteer year in Russia: the actor Vladimir Mashkov, musicians Polina Gagarina and Mot, and the TV-host Alla Miheeva.
