On the way to Baikal and Listvyanka village you will visit Taltsy Ethnographical museum which has a fine display of typical Russian and Siberian wooden houses from the past centuries. In Listvyanka, you will see the Baikal ecological museum where an impressive exhibit of the history of flora and fauna from the lake region is displayed. The museum was open by the Limnologucal Institute, the Siberian department of the Russian Academy of Sciences. There is an aquarium with different species of fish and the nerpa – the Baikal fresh water seal. In and around Listvyanka you will take in excellent views from the bank of Lake Baikal. You will take a walking tour around the settlement; visit the functioning Russian Orthodox church of St. Nicholas-the-Miracle-Worker (the 19th century) and the local fish market. The tour includes lunch at a local restaurant (specialities made of Baikal fish).
