On the way to Baikal and Listvyanka village you will visit the Baikal ecological museum, where an impressive exhibit of the history of flora and fauna from the lake region is displayed. The museum was open by the Limnologucal Institute, the Siberian department of the Russian Academy of Sciences. There is an aquarium with different species of fish and the nerpa – the Baikal fresh water seal. We will also make a stop at the Taltsy Ethnographical museum which has a fine display of typical Russian and Siberian wooden houses from the past centuries. In and around Listvyanka you will take in excellent views from the bank of Lake Baikal. After the excursions, we will have lunch at the local restaurant (optional) and then will travel to the Kamen Cherskogo (rock of Chersky) observation point to see the view.
