Arrival in Kiev
On arrival in Kiev you will be met by our friendly representative who will escort you by car or mini bus to your hotel. On the way to the hotel, you will have the opportunity to get your first glimpse of this truly unique city. After settling in at the hotel, you will be taken for the city tour.
This tour will give you a great chance to become acquainted with the ancient city of Kiev. Our excursion with a professional guide starts from Old Kiev Hill (Vladimir´s Hill named in honor of Prince Volodimir, the baptizer of Kiev Rus). The hill is the place, where according to the chronicles, the first settlement of Kiev was established by 3 brothers: Kiy, Shcheck, Horiv and their sister Lybid in 482 A.D. On Vladimir´s Hill you will see a reconstruction of the basement of Decytinnaya Church (10th century), which was completely destroyed in 1240 during the Tatar-Mongol invasion. A nice example of Old Rus architecture rises above Volodimir´s Hill. From the Kiev of Old Rus we will then proceed to modern Kiev with visits to: the famous Kiev Opera House (1901), the Kiev National University (1837-43). We will drive along the main street of the city - Kreshchatik and hear the history of this famous street. Near the Arch of Friendship we will stop for a look at the magnificent view onto the Dniper river and onto one of the oldest regions of Kiev. We wind up the tour with a visit to the Museum of the Second World War which includes an exposition on military equipment.

Free time
In the evening you will have free time to stroll along the city streets and to dine at a restaurant of your choice. If you would like recommendations on good places to eat, just ask us.
