Don't be put off by the outside of the hotel, the inside is just fine. The rooms were simple, but very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel is just three metro stops from Red Square--for the price, you can't beat it.
Didn't like:
The breakfast was nothing to write home about.

Location was great for metro and easy train transfers to both SVE and DME airports.
Staff were friendly and spoke good English
Room was comfortable and clean
Didn't like:
Internet access was unusably slow in peak hours and barely usable other times.
Excessive security was intimidating and seemed unwarranted for the area.
Breakfast was good, but the dinner we had at the hotel restaurant was not very nice.

Girls in the front desk were very kind and spoke very good English. The exchange machine was wonderful.
Didn't like:
People smoked everywhere, even inside the restaurant. Sometimes the wifi connection was not that good (weak).

room was nice though a bit small and had very nice soft beds.
Didn't like:
the lack of English tv. Only 2 news channels on a repeat basis. To get English clients you need English speaking tv.

Location is quite good, close to metro station. Restoran by second floor offers European quality foods by reasonable prices. Very sympathetic hotel staff.
