The original exhibition display the artwork, entitled "The New Reality," went on display in 1962 at Moscow's Manezh exhibition hall. However, Kruschev saw the exhibit and was impressed, so much that he promised to exile the artists from the Soviet Union.

Now 13 of the banned artworks are back on display in Moscow at the same Manezh exhibition hall were they were banned fifty years ago.

The exhibition includes such artists as Leonid Mechnikov, Leonid Rabinchev, Inna Shmelyova, Vera Preobrazhenskaya, Maya Filippova and others.
